Chakra Goth Incident, the Real Story

Recent incident in Chakra Goth in which as media reported a bus of policemen elite commandos who were in civil dresses and traveling in a civil bus but fully armed were targeted by unidentified men resulting in the killing of se

veral policemen and several also injured is becoming a big mystery by time by time, the government has already announced them heroes and also ordered to give 2 million to the families of the policemen who died in the incident. But there are lots of questions aroused and are still answered:

• Despite having enough vehicles to meet the transportation needs of its force, why Sindh Police chose Marwat Coach, a private carriage to move its four dozen armed police personnel, donned in civil dress?

• All the personal were from (interior Sindh) Sukkur, Qambar-Shahdadkot and Naushahro Feroz districts or Larkana districts, what they were doing here in Karachi, interior ministry didn't ordered any cross district police movement, then how come four dozen policemen reached Karachi?

• After above questions aroused CCPO Karachi came to the screen and changed the statement of his DSP saying that these personnel were coming from Razzaqabad police training centre to be deployed at Quaidabad Police Station, but in hurry and confused state he again forget to calculate than how come they cross chakra goth while coming from Razzaqabad to Quaidabad Police Station as both areas are situated totally in opposite directions? (See map).

Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wassan has formed a joint interrogation team headed by DIG East Naeem Akram Baroka to probe into the incident. The team will also investigate why the police personnel were wearing civil dress instead of their official uniform and why a private carriage was used to transport them.

The Real Story:

The armed people travelling in civil dresses in a private coach were actually there since morning aiding terrorist from a specific ethnicity and popularly attached to an ethnic group called ( Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz) who was busy in terrorizing the neighboring colony which contains people from other ethnicity, during this terrorizing several people from other side lost their lives and many got injured, and in the funeral of one of the deceased unknown persons in civil dresses travelling in a private coach opened fire resulting in more casualties. The people when found no one to help them gathered to protest on the road in numbers around 150-200 (no terrorist group act in such big numbers). While they were protesting they came across the same bus from which fire was opened at the funeral they stopped it and captured all of them snatched away their weapon as the protestors were in big number compared to the men in the bus, the bus was followed by the car of DSP Quaidabad Syed Badar Ali Shah, when he understood the situation and found out that people in the bus have been identified as policemen and there is no way out he ordered his policemen to opened fire at the protestors who were in as big number as 200 to shatter them, resulting in an open assault helpless citizen also tried to defend themselves and tried to use the weapon they snatched from the people in the bus which resulted in the death of 6 armed men (who was later revealed are actually police personals) and several casualties on the other side.

Police like always to support there “paiti band brothers” named the citizens injured in their firing as the terrorist attacking police van and named them in FIR putting different self-claimed aliases. IG Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani told press that Two of the injured are in police custody and are responsible for the attack at the police bus however Dr Seemi Jamali, the Director of Emergency Services of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), told The media that these persons were brought to hospital in severely injured condition in the morning, this question is still to be answered by our active police authorities that how people who were brought to hospital in the morning having severe wounds are responsible for an incident happened at night.

Illegal Land Encroachments in Karachi City

Every city is planned in certain way keeping in mind its needs, requirements, atmosphere population etc. proper water, sewerage, electricity system with educational and recreational facilities are core of any cities development. And for these purpose the building control authorities or other concerned authorities design a theme master plan in which land is distributed according to the requirements.

Karachi is a metropolitan city with approx area 3, 500 km² and population over 18,000,000, full of life and in books known as the ‘city of lights’. But now these lights seems diminishing and black shades of different Mafias are now hovering over Karachi, one of which them is land Mafia.

Land Mafia of Karachi is a criminal society includes members from different fields noticeably from its kith and kin Drug Mafia, Transport Mafia and terrorism and many of them are also involved in the National politics. They start encroaching it slowly like if there is an un attended empty plot of land they will first start using it for low purposes such as transport parking or will build shelters for poor people so they could get hold of the land and then when they will get full hold of it they eradicate those poor from their and then use it for their commercial or vice versa purpose. Even in Karachi there are colonies of colonies, apartments, hotels are present over these lands, moreover dangerous part is these lands are also used to building base for further illegal acts and kith and kin societies such as drug mafia etc. Their hold in Karachi is that strong that no government dares to take action against them and even if someone dares to do so they with their full power gave Karachi a bloodguilt bath , January and March 2009 deadly riots are some small and recent examples of this.

Let’s just have a Birdseye view of Karachi and see how, where and by whom this Mafia is being operated in Karachi.

Pictures below just gives a brief idea about one of the many factions of land mafia which includes those big areas which are illegally encroached and are now portrayed as residential areas, other factions of this mafia which are present In between the legalized lands in the form land grabbers, Illegal land holders, wanders, encroachments across the side of roads etc. But from these pictures you can have an idea about how worse the situation is over the ground, and if only these big calculations are covering that big part of Karachi then if we also calculate other illegal land encroachments then how much is Karachi is now being grabbed and encroached by this Mafia?

This mostly grabs the land close the drain river (which cause narrowing down of these drains and emerging of a chaos during rain or high tights seasons) or lands allotted by the government for parks, schools and other civil and recreational facilities so harming the city in indirect way also by grabbing the basic facilities from the legal residents of the city.

How to Identify Encroached Lands?

As Mentioned above when respected authorities designs or plans and area they keep the basic necessities of the city in mind such as straight roads, house lanes etc.

In contrary when these mafia encroaches land they just build what they need over whatever they got so an absence of proper building plan. In pictures below Illegal Encroachments can be easily identified by observing the irregularities in development structures, such as roads, lanes. Save Karachi From Being Grabbed!

Accountability for all?

Accountability is a phenomenon which if done with all honesty and veracity can eliminate all the ills from the society and can pull the nation towards prosperity and progress. If we see the history of our country we would find a number of times when political leaders of this country chants the slogans of Accountability to others for polishing their own selves, but till now none called for an across the board Accountability for all, regardless of his affiliation and status. This is why we are still standing not too far away where we were standing 55years back.

Now a day we are again witnessing these songs of Accountability in our country and this time this not only from politicians but these chants are coming from the “respected” supreme court of the country. Who all are committed and set for the accountability of Former President of the Country Gen. Ret. Parvez Musharraf over what he did on 3^rd of November 2007 which according to them was Un Constitutional and can be trialed under Article 6 of the constitution of Pakistan (1973) which states that:

 

6. High treason.

1. Any person who abrogates or attempts or conspires to abrogate, subverts or attempts or conspires to subvert the Constitution by use of force or show of force or by other unconstitutional means shall be guilty of high treason.

2. Any person aiding or abetting the acts mentioned in clause (1) shall likewise be guilty of high treason.

3. Parliament shall by law provide for the punishment of persons found guilty of high treason.

Before going over my main point I would like to discuss one more important thing i.e. why Supreme Court is only just concerned about the act of 3rd November 2007? However similar kind of act was done by same person on 12th October 1999? Why no one wants to mention that and impeach that act also? Well may be because that October ’99 act was a fruitful one for “respected” Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry as it elevated him to the Supreme Court from Baluchistan High Court after he took oath under the P.C.O. of that time presented by Gen. Parvez Musharraf, but on November 2007 same person, same act and his P.C.O. becomes bad as it took away the seat of “respected” Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

Coming back to the point, let for the sake of argument if we consider Gen Ret. Parvez Musharraf guilty of Article 6 clause (1) of constitution of Pakistan, then there is another clause in Article 6 after this which says:

Article (6) Clause 2:

• Any person aiding or abetting the acts mentioned in clause (1) shall likewise be guilty of high treason.

So according to this clause “respected” Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is also equally culpable and guilty of Article 6 i.e. of high treason and should be impeached and set accountable in front of the nation. Because:

• C. J. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was among the first judges who took oath under the P.C.O. of Gen. Parvez Musharraf in January 2000 and got promotion to Supreme Court from Baluchistan High Court to fill the vacancies left by those judges who refused to take oath under the P.C.O.

• April, 2005 C. J. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was among the 5 judges who dismissed all the petitions against Gen. Parvez Musharraf’s constitutional amendments including 17th Amendment, his Uniform and Legal Framework Order hence Validating Gen. Parvez Musharraf’s acts of suspending the constitution, allowing him to keep two offices (i.e. of President and Chief of Army Staff).

So, according to the constitution of Pakistan (1973) C. J. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is also guilty of Article 6 as he abetted the acts of Gen. Parvez Musharraf which he and his companions now calls “unconstitutional”. And honest demand of Accountability is that if Gen. Parvez Musharraf is going to be asked for his acts then C. J. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry should also be.

And not only are these two personalities’, acts done by an illegal or unconstitutional person also illegal and unconstitutional so all the acts by these two are also illegal including:

• National Reconciliation Order (N.R.O.) by Gen. Ret. Pervez Musharraf, and
• Cases handled by C. J. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry including “plane hijacking case” and “Sharifs ineligibility case”.

Firing over J.S.Q.M.’s Rally and Unasked Justification from A.N.P. .

An Unfortunate Incident:

Today, again Karachi was in news throughout the day because of an another unfortunate event occurred during the J.S.Q.M. (Jiye Sindh Qaumi Mahaz)’s rally in Karachi. The Rally was targeted by two gunmen loaded with kalashanikovs, in retaliation J.S.Q.M. workers killed one of the attackers and other was arrested with injuries. The incident occurred when the JSQM’s rally reached Race course road near Safora Goth chowringi, where the rally was targeted by those Gunmen. Violent incidents and protest in interior parts of Sind and national highway Karachi occurred following this incidents.

Obvious One:

Seeing the scenario this incident can’t be termed as unexpected, J.S.Q.M. a party which is on the hard line over the issue of Swat IDP’s coming to Sind, taking out a procession in A.N.P. dominated area (Safora Goth), who are the biggest advocate of I.D.P.s settlement to Sind, rifts between these two parties had also created misfortunes in past, ethnic riots in Karachi and firing over the J.S.Q.M.’s procession which claimed many lives earlier this year are the fresh examples.

So, nothing peaceful can be expected when J.S.Q.M. will hold a procession in front of A.N.P. . what can be said about the violent activities of A.N.P. but for their own benefit they should they should learn to act a little. And even this was not it, just 1 or 2 hours after the incident A.N.P. Sind President showed up in a Press Conference saying that this incident is a play to create rifts between J.S.Q.M. & A.N.P. .

 

Well, There are few Question need to be answered:

Why Mr.Shahi Syed did came on T.V. so hurriedly, giving justification of “No A.N.P. involvement” in the incident, who asked for it? “Is it the self-Guilt of a failed plan” or a fear to be Nominated because of which he himself is saying “hum ne tu yeah jurm nai kia”?

Mr.Shahi Syed said “it’s a plan to harden the relationship between two parties”, well before this he should tell that when the relationship between two parties got softer?

What a great person Mr. Oscar wilde was, who said:

“It is the confession, not the priest, that gives us absolution” .

Target Killings in Karachi are targeted by whom?

The rope of target killing is not again stretched in Karachi which has claimed many precious lives till now while mostly of the victims are political party’s activists.

In Karachi everything seems unpredictable, things come out from nowhere and in a very short span of time they start hovering over the news, whether it’s about weather or law and order.

Now, Target killing is also one of them, before that Karachi was facing political rifts but they got settled somehow but know this new phenomenon is on the scene.

But if we see them a little closely you would find that everything has a back ground and building and so as the verge of Target Killing, i.e. some people don’t want peace and stability in Karachi, they have been found involved in most of the unrest in Karachi directly or indirectly.

And as far as the cause of target killings is concerned the roots of this killing lies in Punjab specially Mianwali and Lahore. Surprised? Ok then answer this:

 

Imran mediating between Haqiqi factions

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has been trying for the last few months to broker a deal between the two factions of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement (MQM-Haqiqi) that split during the previous government’s tenure, The News has reliably learnt.

Emerging as a staunch opponent of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) after the May 12, 2007 mayhem in which several political workers were killed in Karachi, Imran Khan subsequently launched a campaign against the Muttahida. His anti-Muttahida drive started with the help of the MQM-Haqiqi which provided him with evidence of alleged brutalities against it.

Sumaila Rana, another PML (N)‘s MPA involved in a credit card theft scandal.

Another Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N)’s MPA Shumaila Rana is now found involved in credit card theft scandal, she is been accused of doing shopping over someone else’s credit who when found out that her credit card is being used reported the case to the police.

A video that’s being recorded by the cctv camera of famous jewellery store Bijoux also clearly disclosed Shumaila Rana sitting at the store and checking out jewellery items:

Morever Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) investigation committee has demanded Shumaila Rana to resign after being found guilty, but she refused to resign immediately.

PML(N) ‘Minister’ Iftikhar Khan Baloch Kidnapped PML (N)’s ‘City President’ Riffat Rani and others.

PML (N) is once again under the spot light with its Minister again crossing their limits and using his powers in unjustified way.

The latest is PML(N)’s Member of Provincial Assembly Iftikhar Khan Baloch is now found using the government machinery in kidnapping and harassing the Husband and Family of Kulsoom Balooch who also happens to his cousin.

In a nutshell story is:

Kulsoom Balooch married for love with Fazal Abbas a local guy. but her Parents refuses to accept his marriage as Fazal Abbas was not from their community so they tried to harass both of them and even threaten to kill Fazal Abbas the married couple finally decided to fled to Karachi for the refuge. over that the Family of Kulsoom got fierce and tried every thing to get back what they lost and for that purpose they filed a case against Fazal Abbas’s Family with the help and reference of PML(N)’s MPA Iftikhar Khan Baloch(Kulsoom Balooch is the daughter of Allah Dad Khan Baloch, who is a cousin of MPA Iftikhar’s father Ahmad Khan Baloch.) and making that FIR a basis police kidnapped the brother of Fazal Abbas and took them to jail and moreover the sisters of Fazal Abbas was kidnapped by the a car with the green plate in use by PML(N)’s MPA Iftikhar Khan Baloch and his sisters are still under MPA’s Custody.

They then forced Abbas and his sisters, Mrs. Riffat Rani (wife of Shafiq Dogar and Sargodha PML(N) city president); Miss Nadia, 19, who is a national badminton champion; Miss Shazia Riaz, 16; and Miss Nazia, 12, into three private cars. Shazia Riaz was loaded into a car with Iftikhar Ahmed Baloch, and has not been seen or heard from since. [!]

So Again Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz)’s Minister making unjustified use of his powers and government’s property for kidnapping citizen. another one recently can be found here.

If PML(N)’s own Women working at the post of City president are being kidnapped by the MNA’s of the same party then what could be the future of the other women under their government?

and of course the last one what about the following promises made by PML(N) in their manifesto regarding women?

17. Women
In Islam, women enjoy place of honor and dignity that is unparallel in history. The talents of both men and women are acknowledged equally in Islam. It is for the same reason that acquiring knowledge has been ordained for both equally. PML-N shall:
- Ensure respect, dignity, and protection granted by Islam to women.
- Promote participation of women in national development and their social, political and economic empowerment.
- Give preference to women teachers in primary education.
- Promote female education and health care programs to overcome gender gaps.
- Effective representation of women in all key policy/decision making bodies shall be ensured.
- Special legislation on violence against women and child abuse shall be enacted.
- Micro credit for female borrowers will be expanded substantially as a part of the process of their empowerment.

P.M.L.(N) providing Cheating facilities in Exams as they promised in their Manifesto.

Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) which is a major political party of Pakistan has following to say about the “Education” in their Manifesto:

• With knowledge becoming the key driver of economic and social progress in future, education must become number one national priority.
• An educated, technological advanced and progressive society is the aspiration of all the people of Pakistan.
• Guarantee that all students who get first division in both Matric and Intermediate examinations are ensured of a place in a public sector college in their tehsil/taluka/sub-division. This target will be achieved by 2010.
• Provide maximum facilities for science education and vocational training for all middle and high school students.

I was not aware that they really mean what they say, but when i came across the following news it made me believe over their dedication towards their Manifesto.

Haji Pervaiz Khan The Member of of National Assemble from PML (N)’s ticket, who won his NA seat in the by-elections from NA-55, Rawalpindi was supposed to give his Intermediate Examination on April- 29- 09 in a local school but instead of him his nephew Bilal was found giving the examination.

Now the news itself is self explanatory but i would just like to put few questions here:

1. Why PML(N) is giving part Election tickets to those people who are not eligible and capable to sit in intermediate exams themselves so how are they justified to sit in the Parliament?
2. PML(N)’s young face Abid Sher Ali who was very vocal or say extra vocal over the case of Ex. CJSC’s Daughter Farah Hameed Dogar, so why he is so polite over this case?
3. What about the promises and golden temples shown about the Education in PML (N) Manifesto?
4. And last but not the least will this scandal also become out of the sight after sometime or after the resignation of Haji Pervaiz Khan from his NA seat or Will there be a real action against the dacoits of education?

Lahore Blasts and the terrorist activities of Jamat-e-Islami and Shabab-e-Milli.

Jamat-e-Islami and its armed wing Shabab-e-Milli’s hatred against art and cultural events is very old they have always moved in a terrorize way to stop cultural and fun activities in the area.

One of its example is their warning to Karachiites for not celebrating new years night, and to stop people from doing this they declared an "armed 'Danda bardaar' force" which will stop people from doing such celebration activities, this statement of them was showed over television and also in the print media below is the link to the ‘Daily Express’ news of their warning.

Shabab e Milli Warning

After the warning of not celebrating New Year’s Eve they also gave another threatening warning for stopping theater shows in Lahore which they believe to be un-ethical and 'not allowed' according to their own theory and this time unlike the fortunate new year's night the warning was followed by a ringer,as after few days of their warning Lahore’s Drama Theaters were rocked by a series of Bomb Blasts.

"Six blasts rock Lahore theaters: The first four blasts happened outside the Al-Fallah theater in the heart of the heavily populated city on Friday. The fifth and sixth blasts occurred at Mazang Chungee near Tamaseel Theatre two hours after the four blasts outside the Al-Fallah theater hall."

Why WE, our Media and our ‘Leaders’ have Double Standards?

Now a day’s our respected media and our leaders of Pakistan Muslim league (Nawaz) group are paying their lip services to the issue of Farah Hameed Dogar, the Daughter of Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar is in the news now a days because Mr. Nawaz Shareef and some of our Media Circles are allegedly accusing the Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar for using his power to increase his daughter's Marks in FSC (pre-medical) examination.

Despite of the statement and clarification given by both CJ’s side person and Farha Hameed Dogar that her numbers are increased by a legal process and not only her 201 more students got their numbers increased through this process but the media and Nawaz Shareef is not ready to accept their part of the view and are compelling to prove that the number were increased by illegal use of CJ’s powers.

I believe Nawaz shareef point of view has some weight there because he is quite old in the field of illegal use of powers. Let’s say as we have the ‘Freedom of expression’ in our country our media and Nawaz shareef seems to be so serious about the ‘self-made’ issue of Farha Hameed Dogar. But they both seem to be forgetting something.

*History Flashback*:

1991, Mariam Nawaz Shareef the daughter of Nawaz Shareef, passed her FSc (pre-Medical) exams in B-Grade securing 765 marks out of 1000. But she was hoping for getting admission in

Lahore’s King Edward Medical college which is one of the highly reputed institutions of the country so it also have high merit limits which of at least 803 marks for sitting in test, but unfortunately Mariam Nawaz only had 765 marks and she was falling short of not 1 or 2 marks but to 38marks, this situation may had make her depressed and this was the point where the Love of Father came in, her Father Mr. Nawaz Shareef was the Prime Minister of Pakistan that time and her uncle Mr. Shahbaz Shareef was the Chief Minister of Punjab.

Mariam Nawaz Shareef first gets admission in Army Medical College and then she was transferred to King Edwards’s medical college breaking all the migratory rules set by the Government, the rules states:

Prospects of the Government Medical Colleges in the Punjab for Session 1991-92 regarding Migration:

· “Such migration shall be allowed only after the student has cleared the First Professional Examination.”

· “A student who has been admitted in one medical college of the Province and wants to migrate to another college within the province during the same course, sets three conditions, two of which pertain to the father/guardian of the student either dying or transferred to another city being a government servant."

· “The migration can be allowed on compassionate grounds if both the principals agree. Such migration shall be allowed only after the student has cleared first, Professional Examination. The clause shall not be applicable to those admitted against Divisional, Under-Developed Seats.”

BUT the case of Mariam Nawaz shareef didn’t match with any of the above mentioned clauses, as in her case:

· Mariam Nawaz was not admitted under such reserved seats.

· Without appearing in the first Professional Examination, she was migrated from Army Medical College to King Edwards Medical College.

· She did not appear in the first Professional Examination even at King Edwards Medical College, and left the college before that.

And when Dr Shahnaz Javed professor of Physiology at King Edwards Medical College protested against this Illegal admission, she got transferred from that college.

It is not like that media and others are unaware of this issue, but despite of being aware they are putting this issue under the carpet, which raises so many questions in which the most important question is:

For how long our own people will be fooled for the self interests of few people? This is the thing which brought us to this quagmire in 61 yrs and if this joke continued with the country, where will we be heading?
